This Code of Ethics for members of the Emergency Medical Services Association of Texas, Inc. has been adopted to promote and maintain the highest ethics of service and personal conduct among its members. Adherence to these ethics is required for membership in the association, and serves to assure public confidence in the integrity and service of its membership.

As a member of the Emergency Medical Services Association of Texas, Inc., I pledge myself to:

• Maintain the highest standard of personal conduct;
• Promote and encourage the highest level of ethics within the pre-hospital health care provider field and the Emergency Medical Services Association of Texas;
• Maintain loyalty to the Emergency Medical Services of Texas and pursue its objective in ways that are consistent with the public interest;
• Recognize and discharge my responsibilities and that of the Emergency Medical Services Association of Texas to uphold all laws and regulations relating to my profession and association’s policies and procedures;
• Strive for excellence in all aspects of management of my business and my association;
• Always communicate Emergency Medical Services Association of Texas’s internal and external assignments in a truthful and accurate manner;
• Cooperate in every reasonable and proper way with the leadership of my association and work with them in the advancement of the pre-hospital healthcare provider;
• Use every opportunity to improve the public understanding of the role of the Emergency Medical Services Association of Texas and other pre-hospital care providers.
